EmpowerMX Provides Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) Training
Teamed with PAI Consulting to Instruct Federal Aviation Administration on CASS
DULUTH, MN, November 9, 2007
– EmpowerMX and PAI Consulting (PAI) are engaged in
a multi-year, collaborative effort to provide Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) Aviation Safety Inspectors (ASIs) with
state-of-the-art training focused on FAA Advisory Circular
(AC) 120-79, Developing and Implementing a Continuing Analysis
and Surveillance System (CASS). This AC, drafted by PAI in
conjunction with the FAA, provides new information regarding
how air carriers operating under CFR part 121 or 135 (as applicable)
may comply with CASS.
The goal of this course is to provide
all FAA ASIs with a standard basis to:
Assess the status of a CASS by evaluating
an air carrier's procedures for measuring the performance
and effectiveness of all elements of its inspection and maintenance
programs, including the purpose, functions and management
philosophy of scheduled maintenance.
When completed, over 2,000 FAA
personnel will have received the training.

discussion of CASS requirements with their air carriers."
