Express Carrier to Collaborate in Refining
Aviation Safety Software
DULUTH, MN, July 30, 2004
– Sinex Aviation Technologies announced today that Federal
Express (NYSE:FDX) will serve as the launch customer for Sinex
FleetCycle® Reliability Manager software application.
The technology is designed to allow aviation companies to
manage a wide range of compliance and fleet component performance
reporting.
As a launch customer, FedEx will collaborate
with Sinex to refine the software designed to track a wide
range of reliability indicators on a fleet-wide basis. Federal
Express, the world’s largest express transportation company,
operates nearly 650 aircraft from 378 airports worldwide.
The company handles about 3.1 million shipments on a daily
basis, delivering to 215 countries. With 137,000 employees
worldwide, it realized $16.5 billion in revenues in 2003.

Reliability Manager is a database management tool which allows
operators to accumulate and report their reliability information,
including warranty in a single repository. The software is
part of the Sinex FleetCycle® suite of patented software products
developed to automate all stages of aircraft maintenance,
from development of the maintenance program, through the maintenance
execution to reliability analysis. Other FleetCycle® solutions
are already proving their value, helping other airlines and
aircraft operators improve the speed and efficiency of their
maintenance operations by up to 30 percent.
